World Wide Web Day Celebration

The Department of Computer Science decided to celebrate world wide web day on the first of August to share the importance and advancement of the World wide web in our daily lives. The Third year students of the Computer science department organised a still model competition based on the theme “information technology”, a treasure hunt program with information technology-related questions and a radio program explaining the history of the world wide web.

The world wide web day celebration was started with the radio program, where students ANJANA SHIJU and ANSILA SHERIN narrated the history of the world wide web on the college radio (Public Address (PA) System) at 11:15 AM.


The Still model Competition was organised in the computer science first-year classroom, where students were instructed to make a still model related to Information technology. Total 7 teams participated and students from third-year B.sc Psychology grabbed first and second place.

The Treasure hunt program was conducted at 1:30 PM. The Program had 12 participants from various departments. The program had information technology-related questions, which helped non-technical students to get familiar with www-related tools and applications. The final round of the treasure hunt was a Maze Runner Game, developed by final-year computer science student Fayiz. The Final students form B.A English won the Price.
